Pete Christo

Teacher

Pete Christo, affectionately known as “Mr. Pete,” brings more than four decades of experience to the dance industry as a performer, educator, adjudicator, and mentor. Throughout his distinguished career, he has travelled the world performing and sharing his passion for dance. Pete made history as the first Canadian selected to adjudicate both the World Tap Championships and the World Show Dance Championships, a testament to the respect he has earned within the international dance community.

As an educator, Pete is celebrated for his innovative, outside-the-box approach to teaching and choreography. His ability to inspire creativity while building strong technical foundations has earned him countless choreography and teaching accolades. Many of his former students have gone on to enjoy successful careers in the performing arts, a reflection of his dedication to developing not only exceptional dancers but confident, versatile artists.

Although Pete’s roots are deeply grounded in tap dance, his passion has grown to encompass all genres of dance. He has continued to expand his expertise through ongoing education and mentorship, including extensive training with Vicki Fletcher, a respected leader with Acrobatic Arts. Pete believes wholeheartedly in the importance of safe, progressive, and technically sound dance education, ensuring every student is given the tools to thrive in a positive and supportive environment.

Pete is thrilled to be joining the inaugural faculty at Cre8 Dance Academy. He is excited to help shape the next generation of dancers while contributing to a studio culture built on excellence, creativity, kindness, and community. He can’t wait to welcome dancers into the Cre8 family and begin creating something truly special together.
