Erin Benoit

Teacher

 

 

 

Erin began her dance journey at the age of three, training throughout the Hamilton and Burlington communities. She started at the Linda Collins School of Dance before continuing her education at Live, Dream, Dance, where she developed a strong technical foundation and a lifelong passion for the art of dance.

As a competitive dancer, Erin trained extensively in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, open, and acro. She later continued her competitive career with Creative Edge Studio and Live to Dance Academy, contributing to numerous First Overall performances and Top Studio achievements. During her time as a member of Centennial College’s Ignite Dance Team, she competed at varsity-level events and earned Overall Choreography honours for her contemporary solo. Erin has also received multiple judges’ awards recognizing her exceptional musicality and timing as both a tap dancer and choreographer.

Erin is a graduate of Centennial College’s Professional Dance Performance program and is a certified Tap Dance Centre instructor, holding Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Teacher Certifications under the direction of Kim Chalovich. She has further enriched her training by studying with respected industry professionals including Mike Glenney, David Cox, Sarah Sordoni, Anthony Smith (Ambitious Anthony), and Nina Strazzulla.

As an educator, Erin is passionate about creating a positive, supportive, and inspiring classroom where every dancer feels encouraged to grow with confidence. She believes in fostering strong technical foundations while helping students develop artistry, discipline, and a genuine love for dance.

Erin is proud to be part of the Cre8 Dance Academy faculty and looks forward to inspiring the next generation of dancers while sharing her knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm with every student who walks through the studio doors.
